Overnight in Yangon
After breakfast, transfer to pyay by coach.
Pyay (formerly Prome) in ancient times was known as Srikshetra (Thayaykhittaya). It is a town in the Bago Region in Lower Myanmar which is located 260km (162 mi) northwest of Yangon. Pyay lies on the Ayeyarwaddy River and it is the second biggest producer of paddy after Ayeyarwaddy Region. You can see green paddy fields in the dry zone. Upon arrival, have a lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to famous Shwesandaw Pagoda, it has a height of 127ft (39m) high. Then, visit to The cylindrical Bawbawgyi Pagoda and Bebe Pagoda. Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Pyay
After breakfast at hotel, visit Sri Ksetra, located 8 km southeast of Pyay at present-day Hmawza village, was the last and southernmost Pyu capital. Sri Ksetra represents the Pyu Kingdoms that flourished for over 1.000 years between 200 B.C. and 900 A.D. Historical heritage to see includes script stones, and an ancient Buddha statue. Visit to Shwe Bone Thar Mu Ni Pagoda and Sehtetgyi Pagoda.
Have a lunch at local restaurant and transfer to Magway by coach in the afternoon. It will takes about three hours. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Magway
After breakfast at hotel, you will explore the busy local market in Nyaung U, Shwezigone pagoda, Kyansit Thar Cave, Gupyaukgyi temple and Alodawpyi pagoda in the morning. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will visit Sulamani, Ananda, Thatbyinnyu temples. If you do not feel very tired after being a few hours under the inquisitive sun of Bagan, we strongly recommend you to head to Shwesandaw temple to admire a memorable sunset. Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Bagan
You will take transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay you will be welcome by your guide and drive to Amarapura, former Royal capital of Myanmar but the suburb of Mandalay nowadays. Highlights include Mahargandaryone monastery, a typical monastic school; U Bein bridge, the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman lake, silk weaving factory. Return to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon sightseeing includes Mandalay Royal Palace – a well planned palace located at the heart of today’s Mandalay city; Atumashi monastery, originally believed to be the best teak wood monastery in architecture and art works until it was burnt down and nowadays a new building of similar prototype exists there; Shwenandaw monastery, still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset.
Overnight in Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to hanlin, it will takes around 3hrs from Mandalay. One of the significant Pyu sites is Hanlin (or Hanlingyi- Great Hanlin), which lies about 11 miles (18km) south-east of Shwebo in Upper Myanmar. Lunch at local restaurant. And transfer to Mandalay to take a rest at hotel.
Dinner at local retaurant.
Overnight in Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for domestic flight to YANGON.
